ISSS is delighted to announce the digital launch of Surrealist Women’s Writing: A Critical Exploration on Sunday 18 April 2021 (5-6:30pm BST / 12-1:30pm EST).
The event will feature a presentation of the book by the editor, Anna Watz, followed by contributors’ readings of selected pieces of writing by Kay Sage, Claude Cahun, Leonora Carrington, Suzanne Césaire, Leonor Fini, Dorothea Tanning, and Rikki Ducornet. Participating contributors include:

The event is in collaboration with Manchester University Press and participants will be able to purchase the book directly from MUP with a 40% discount. The discount code will be shared at the event and is valid until 30/04/21.
The conversation will be moderated by Molly Gilroy, co-founder and editor of The Debutante: The Feminist-Surrealist Arts Journal.
