What Your Dues Support
Members’ support enables the association to undertake field-shaping projects, such as a teaching resource page and a database of graduate student projects, that serve ISSS membership as well as advocate for the field(s) of surrealism studies and its members. Your dues allow the ISSS to collaborate with host institutions to sponsor annual conferences, as well as to build funds to support graduate students, NTT faculty, and independent artist/scholar travel to such events.

Membership Benefits
● Access to registration and participation in the annual conference and other ISSS-sponsored events.
● Access to calls for papers, and other surrealism news and events from around the world.
● Eligibility to vote for officers, as well as to nominate members and/or self-nominate for officer positions.
● Eligibility to apply for travel subvention (for graduate student, NTT, and/or independent scholar/artist members).

Annual Membership Rates

Regular Membership $50.00 USD.  Full-time faculty and museum staff Reduced Membership $25.00 USD. Independent/ NTT artists and scholars, students Institutional Membership $75.00 USD. Supporting Membership $100.00 USD. 50% of membership supports ISSS travel fund.

In light of financial restrictions due to the continuing pandemic, in 2021 ISSS is offering a ‘pay what you can’ membership tier. Payments can be made directly via Paypal to surrealismstudies@gmail.com. For more information, please contact ISSS through the contact page.
